Training For Airport Security Supervisors
Candidates: Existing personnel at basic level who have the potential for promotion to supervisory level.
Purpose: Train selected airport security personnel in the supervision of airport security preventative measures.
Duration: 8 working days.
Course Objectives: Upon completion attendees will be able to:
- Supervise implementation relevant aspects of airport security programmes
- Monitor inspections, screening and passenger searches
- Organise initial responses to security emergencies
- Monitor the implementation of standard procedures
- Allocate and assign security personnel to relevant duties
- Assess personnel performances and supervise training
- Ensure preparation, recording and submission of incident reports
- Liaise with other aviation security agencies where appropriate
