Security Training For Airline Passenger Security Agents
Candidates: New and exisiting personnel at basic level employed by the organisation responsible for the application of aviation security preventative measures.
Purpose: This course coupled with six months work experience under the guidance of a qualified AVSEC supervisor will train basic security personnel to enforce, monitor and apply airport security measures in accordance with the local airport procedures.
Duration: 6 working days.
Course Objectives: Upon completion attendees will be able to:
- work in and move about an airport safely
- communicate and assist other airport agencies
- control the movement of people and vehicles
- guard and patrol vulnerable areas within the airport
- recognise weapons and explosive devices
- inspect, screen and search passengers and associated baggage
- respond to emergency situations with the airport
- escort people and consignments
