Aviation Cargo and Mail Security Training
Candidates: For those involved in accepting, documenting and handling cargo, courier and express parcels and mail.
Purpose: To train personnel in the preventative security measures involved in the handling of cargo, courier, express parcels and mail.
Duration: 1 - 3 Days Levels A - G.
Course Objectives: Upon completion attendees will be able to:
- Understand the origin and purpose of security measures required for cargo and mail transportation
- Appreciate the nature of the threat posed to aircraft by hazardous and explosive substances
- Apply security controls to cargo consignments
- Inspect, screen and search consignments
- Ensure all cargo facilities, vehicles and equipment are subject to the relevant security controls
- Apply proper responses to airline security emergencies relevant to cargo shipments
